Overview
Display Start Time and End Time fields, and the event frame time range of collection pages, take PI time expressions: a base time, optionally followed by offsets such as *-1d or t+6h.
| Base time | Meaning |
|---|---|
* | The trigger time of the run |
t | Midnight at the start of the trigger day |
y | Midnight at the start of the day before |
| A day number, a weekday or a month name | Midnight on that day of the current month, that weekday of the current week, or the first day of that month |
A date and time, for example 2026-03-01T06:00:00Z | That time. Without Z or an offset it is a clock time in the report's Time Zone (the service's time zone when none is set) |
| Unit | Accepted names |
|---|---|
| Seconds | s, sec, second, seconds |
| Minutes | m, min, minute, minutes |
| Hours | h, hr, hour, hours |
| Days | d, day, days |
| Weeks | w, week, weeks |
| Months | mo, month, months |
| Years | y, yr, year, years |
Units are not case-sensitive. The abbreviations of localized PI Vision versions and the German names (for example St, Tage, Wochen) are also accepted. A unit that is not in the list stops the page with the error "uses the unknown unit" instead of being ignored.
