Trends That Build Themselves with Asset Time Series Chart+
Stop adding the same tag for every pump, line or site by hand. Asset Time Series Chart+ uses PI Vision's dynamic Search Criteria to find your assets and fill the chart automatically. Pick the attributes once, and every matching asset appears as its own trace. When assets are added, filtered or switched, the chart keeps up by itself.
One Chart for Your Whole Asset Fleet
Define what to compare, not which tags to plot. The chart works out which assets match and draws a trace for every asset and attribute, and it stays in sync with your asset selection.
Dynamic Asset Search
- Auto-Populating Traces: Use Search Criteria to discover assets dynamically. Every matching asset is added to the chart without configuring its data sources one by one.
- Follows Asset Context: Switch the display's asset context and the chart reloads with the assets for that area, site or unit. Build one display and reuse it everywhere.
- Filter-Aware: Asset Filter+ and other asset symbols narrow the chart through master and linked filters, with an indicator showing how many assets remain.
Configure Once, Apply to All
- Attribute-Level Settings: Chart type, color, line style, analysis and multistate settings are defined per attribute and apply to that attribute on every matching asset. Trace overrides handle the exceptions.
- Lines, Areas, Bars & Stacking: Draw Line, Area, Bar, Scatter or Range Area traces, stack them across assets as values or as a 100% share, and choose Multiple, Single or Custom value scales.
- Digital States: Show operating states such as Running, Stopped or Cascade as stepped trends with state names or as shaded bands next to your measurements.
Compare & Analyze
- Rulers & Summary Table: Place two rulers to compare any interval across all assets. The summary table adds server-calculated Average, Min, Max, End Value and more for every asset.
- Built-In Analysis: Add regression lines, moving averages and historical multistate limits, calculated separately for each asset.
- Navigate & Export: Pan, box zoom, fullscreen and an optional time bar make exploring history easy. Export the chart as PNG, SVG or PDF, or its data as CSV, JSON or XLSX.

Search for every pump or compressor of a template and compare their speed, pressure or temperature on one chart. New assets in AF show up automatically.
Reusable Site Displays
Build one display for all your plants. When users switch the asset context, the chart fills with that site's lines or units, so there is nothing to copy or maintain per site.
Contribution to Total
Stack each line's throughput or energy use as areas or bars to see the combined total and every asset's share of it over time.
Changeover & State Analysis
Overlay operating states with measurements, place rulers before and after a changeover, and compare how every asset responded.
Every Asset, One Clear Picture
Stacked Areas Across Assets
One Speed attribute, configured once, draws a stacked area for every production line found by the asset search. The legend shows each line's latest value, and the time bar lets users step through history.
Stacked Bars for Contribution
Switch the same attribute to bars to show each asset's contribution to the total at every interval. Colors are assigned automatically, and legend entries toggle individual traces.
