PI Nexus+ / User Guide
Support and Scale Readiness
Administrators can open Admin > Support > Scale to review inventory size, staging leftovers, recent scan runtimes, and SQL Server memory evidence. The SQL section separates total SQL process memory from the PI Nexus+ database buffer cache, prepared plans, and scanner staging allocations. Warnings identify a SQL memory cap that leaves little room on a shared host, excessive single-use prepared plans, or retained staging allocations.
Overview
Administrators can open Admin > Support > Scale to review inventory size, staging leftovers, recent scan runtimes, and SQL Server memory evidence. The SQL section separates total SQL process memory from the PI Nexus+ database buffer cache, prepared plans, and scanner staging allocations. Warnings identify a SQL memory cap that leaves little room on a shared host, excessive single-use prepared plans, or retained staging allocations.
These values are diagnostic evidence, not automatic tuning actions. PI Nexus+ does not change SQL Server memory settings or clear caches. If the database identity cannot read server-wide SQL performance views, the page remains usable and labels only those metrics unavailable.
