This chapter makes Open in PI Vision available, so users can open a PI Point or AF Attribute as a trend in PI Vision's Ad Hoc Workspace.

This chapter makes Open in PI Vision available, so users can open a PI Point or AF Attribute as a trend in PI Vision's Ad Hoc Workspace.
There is nothing to switch on. The action appears in the detail dialog of every PI Point and AF Attribute, and as an icon on the PI Points list, once at least one PI Vision instance is enabled under Admin > PI Vision Instances and has a URL (see PI Vision Instances).
With several enabled instances, users choose the instance by name, for example Open in PI Vision (Plant A). The link uses the user's own PI Vision sign-in.
If PI Vision opens but shows no data, check the instance's URL and that the user can read the point in PI Vision.
