This reference lists the fields, defaults and actions of a PI Vision instance under Admin > PI Vision Instances.

Field	Default	Rules
Enabled for scanning	Ticked	Included in manual and automatic display scans. Clearing it marks the instance's display inventory Excluded
Name		Friendly name, up to 256 characters
URL		Starts with `http` or `https` and ends with `/PIVision`; a trailing `/` is removed. Used for display links and ad hoc workspace links
SQL Server	Empty	Required. SQL Server hosting the PI Vision database, for example `SQL01` or `SQL01\INSTANCE`
Database	Empty	Required. PI Vision database name, usually `PIVision`
Site	Default site	Shown once two or more sites exist
Unused display check	On	Marks displays not opened for Unused After Days
Unused After Days	365	1 to 3,650
Missing Datasource	Error	Ignored, Warning or Error: health of a display whose datasource cannot be matched
Error Datasource	Error	As above, for a datasource in error
Warning Datasource	Warning	As above, for a datasource with a warning

Action	Effect
Edit	Opens the instance dialog
Test	Repeats the test and stores the result in Last Test
Enable / Disable	Enable tests first; disable marks the display inventory Excluded
Remove	Deletes the instance, its display inventory and its schedule entries, after confirmation
Purge Inventory	Deletes the display inventory; the instance stays
